We specialise in repairing, maintaining, and installing boilers, making sure all your plumbing and heating needs are met.
Annual servicing and prompt repairs can help with the efficiency and longevity of your boiler. Small leaks and operating problems, when left can worsen and reduce the life of your boiler.
If you need a repair or an annual service, please contact us and we can arrange to a visit.
If you need a new boiler, we can provide a personal free quote for a replacement boiler. We will visit, complete an assessment and provide a quote that is for your installation.
We do not have a call-out fee, we simply ask for assistance with parking where there are restrictions, i.e., permits or fees.
Due to the nature of our work, repairs and breakdowns appointment times or slots are very difficult to predict and cannot be guaranteed. All visits vary and often repair times are unclear until we are on site. It is even possible that we could be earlier than thought if the appointment prior is not home on our arrival. Due to the locations we visit, travel times can vary greatly.
We plan the most efficient travel route the night before with the appointments booked.
We contact you when we are on our way to give notice. When we contact you, if it is not suitable, just let us know and we can reschedule your appointment.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please let us know as soon as you can so we have the availability to attend to someone who may be without heating.
We start appointments from around 8am Monday-Friday. We move to each appointment using the most efficient travel route. We are available to make appointments Monday-Friday 8.30-5.30, and Saturdays 9-12.30.
We do not provide an emergency service. We do our best work during normal working hours and need our night-time rest to provide a daytime service for you. There are some great companies out there that can help if you need assistance in an emergency.
We accept debit, credit cards or cash (sorry, no Amex). Our details are available for bank transfers on the invoice. If you could help to reference your postcode, it will help us with allocation.
We ask to be paid only for the work we do for you. We do not ask for any money or offer any contract before work. Being a smaller team, we may not always be able to assist as quickly as we would like and you may have to use someone else to help.
The batteries in your thermostat can need replacing. We have attended appointments for a broken boiler, to find the thermostat batteries just need to be replaced.
This may not always be the case, though worth a thought if it has been a while and your boiler appears to be working. Avoid the random batteries from the kitchen junk drawer! This simple check could have you up and running in no time, and save you waiting for a boiler engineer.
*Special note: Some controls need an hour’s reset before they will start to operate.
Temperature settings, often in the spring and autumn we have calls to broken boilers and the thermostat temperature needs to be increased. You may feel chilly due to the changing seasons.
Whilst the thermostat is set to a certain temperature it may not be cold enough to start the boiler. Try turning the temperature up to see if this calls for heat on your boiler.
On occasion, your boiler pressure may need to be repressurised. Ideally, the pressure should be between 1-3, or between the highlighted marks on your gauge reading. You can ask your boiler engineer to show you how this is done during a service, if the pressure is low, in many cases we can talk you through this over the phone, or there are useful guides on u-tube, this may not always be the fault, and if you find you need to repressure ‘top up’ your boiler regularly it could be a sign there is more wrong and a boiler engineer should check this for you.
*Special note: Bleeding the radiators for low boiler pressure will be taking more water away from your system. This can lower your boiler pressure further.
It is good to know where your mains stop cock is located, and check it is in working order. This tap can be left unused for many years and can seize.
If you have a leak that needs to be stopped before a plumber can reach you, this will save you time and water damage.
